Iliescu, Maria (1972),
Le Frioulan à partir des dialectes parlés en Roumanie.
The Hague: Mouton.
There is an obvious discrepancy between the linguistic origin of this dialect (western Friuli) and its current geographical location in Romania, which is the result of migrations from Friuli to Romania from the late 19th century (see Iliescu 1972). We have taken this source because Iliescu's work provides a particularly detailed description of Friulian verb morphology, at the same time clearly identifying the point of origin within Friuli of the dialect surveyed.
The source reports that the Romance future, while known to speakers, is actually little used.
